The foliage is very typical of the wave series, 8-10 inch long stems that can spread to 2-3 feet. The color is pretty and changes subtly. Initially, the blooms open a bright deep red but then gradually shift to a rosier hue. Plants were started in early March and transplanted in mid-May. For the first 3 weeks, the baskets looked scrawny compared to those purchases at nurseries, but thereafter they were just as good, maybe better, and at literally a tenth the cost.

Height and Width: 8-10" x 36"

Light Needs:  Full sun

Soil Needs:  Loose, rich, well-drained

Approximate days to flower from seed: 90-100 days

Care: When grown in containers petunias need to be fertilized and watered regularly. This will keep the plants blooming all season long. During the heat of summer, they will need to be watered a few times a week. When growing petunias in the ground amend the soil with compost before planting.  Apply a liquid fertilizer every 1-2 weeks or use a time-release fertilizer at planting time.
